Yes. In fact, you've got several options. Generally, you will use an armor enchantment or two from the Earth line along with Ward of Stability, which negates the knockdown from the Vermin's Entangling Asp. For damage, take an elite like Shield of Judgment or Gladiator's Defense and back that up with Sliver Armor and a couple of PBAoE spells. I usually run this variation:
Vengeful Weapon
Vengeful Was Khanhei [E]
Sliver Armor
Aftershock
Teinai's Crystals
Ward of Stability
Kinetic Armor
Earth Attunement
Earth Magic: 16 (12 + 3 + 1)
Energy Storage: 4 (3 + 1)
Restoration Magic: 12

try this build...
No special armours, no secondry you need, you dont even need a good weapon! (although an enchant increasing staff wrapping would be good)
here is the quote from my guildsite where I posted this

4) Slither Armour - because every extra piece of damage helps!
5) Aftershock - First in your series of damaging blows
6) Crystal Wave - Second in the series
7) Tenai's Crystals - Third in the series
8) Shockwave - Final satisfying attack
Earth 12 + 1 + 3
Energy Storage 12 + 1
Any wand and focus, or staff will do, though a wrapping that increases enchantments would be a bonus!
How the build works!
Run along till you reach the first set of vermin. now stop, and cast Kenetic Armour before the foe reaches your aggro circle. run towards the foe, casting Aura of Restoration to recharge your enchantment, and once the foes enter into the aggro circle, cast Ward of Stability. once the foes start to gather around you, do the following
press 4, press 5, count to three, press 6, count to two, press 7, followed by the satisfying 8!
So thats Slither Armour, followed by Aftershock, the Crystal attacks and Shockwave. if any foe is still standing, blast them with a aftershock. this should kill what vermin are standing. if it doesnt, well the vermin are villianous, and proberly wandered into the aggro circle whilst you were in the middle of the combo. make sure no extra foes get into the aggro circle while your doing this combo!
Killin the Boss!
Only way to kill the boss, is aggro a large group of the Vermin including the boss, and get them all to attack you at once. May your days be profitable
|
now this only works, if all the foes have circled you before you launch into Aftershock. you can take the boss even with this build, but its best to get him with alot of his minions. You can take on quite a few vermin with this build, and by experiance, its much faster killing than the Vengeful Was Khanhei build Most vermin are dead by the time you hit Shockwave, and by then Aftershock should be finished recharging. Anyway, thats my contribution
(I registered on these forums just to post that )

I have tried 3 different builds for vermin farming (well 4 or 5 counting that I tweaked the one several times and made it differnt....but anyhow..
I have to say the one including the Ritualists spells is awesome...
I have always hated the boss in that location cause unless you are very careful the boss will kill you fast.
The Ritualist build does not have a lot of downtime like the one with Shockwave. The Shockwave build just has to be done at exact moments or death will come fast. It works though if careful but, if another group sneaks up on you and you are out of energy you are dead fast.
The Ritualist one though the boss died FAST and it doesn't make energy regen so bad.
All the builds I have tried work...and get the job done but personally I prefer the Ritualist one. There is extra power to kill with if needed (because honestly all you need is sliver armour and the 2 life stealers to do the job) The boss doesn't even have to be killed first. He was the last one standing in one of the times I did it and I still lived.
Thanks guys for all the great builds
Just my 2 cents though...cause everything works differently for everyone

Definately need a interrupter for that Capture....
I tried Maelstrom and I tried Meteor Shower (hoping the knock downs would do it)
In the end I took my friend and he used Shivers of Dread
Was so simple with it

Intent,
If you read this can you reply saying if your E/Mo Vermin farm does still work after the Nightfall update. I tried but the Vermins still manage to interrupt even with ward of stability up, preventing me from casting, the needed skills. I dont think I got far enough to witness fleeing vermins so i dont know if thats a problem now.
Also - are there any new builds which work for eles despite update?

The build I used to use -- and I don't see why this would stop working, although it would surely slow down -- was Ether Renewal/Aura of Restoration/Armor of Earth/Kinetic Armor/Sliver Armor/Stone Daggers/Aftershock/Balanced Stance. Earth at 16, Energy Storage at 12, rest in Tactics, put up Balanced Stance before the Ether Renewal chain.

It looks like Ward of Stability might be working again (it was bugged, that's why you were getting interrupted); so, you might want to try your build again.
Also, here is my most recent build.

With Kinetic Armor and Armor of Earth, you aren't taking much damage. And the health gain from Aura of Restoration is enough to counter the degen.
This was when they all beat up on you at once, before the AI change. I imagine it would actually be easier to stay alive now.
I've never seen a mob that build couldn't beat, unless there were major issues of enchantment stripping, armor-ignoring damage, or healing within the mob, or unless there was a lot of BOTH interruption and knockdown.
Of course, that does rule out a lot of mixed mobs.
But I used it to straightforwardly farm vermin and Arborstone wardens in Cantha, and multiple desert locations, trolls/avicara, ettins, and titans in Tyria. Indeed one can solo most of the desert with the anti-knockdown version, but the Concussion Shot guys and the necro scarabs usually owned me.
